Trees & Trains at McLaughlin Gardens in South Paris Maine

Two weekends, Dec. 3, 4 & 5 and Dec. 10, 11 & 12 - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
The Great Falls Model Railroad Club from Auburn, Maine will oversee a winter wonderland of trains and stations in the historic 1840s barn at McLaughlin Garden, South Paris. This is the 10th anniversary of this fun holiday event for kids of all ages! For ticket information, contact McLaughlin Garden, 743-8820. Ticket prices: $3 members, $5 non-members, $3 children. Children under 5 are FREE.

Auburn Maine Holiday Festival for Children

Saturday, Dec. 4th, lots of fun, entertainment and excitement can be found at St. Dominic Academy in Auburn when Advocates for Children holds its 25th Annual Holiday Festival for Children. Children can make crafts, visit with Santa, play in the bounce house, dance and sing with Rick Charette, and learn yo-yo tricks from Brandon Baines. Also on hand will be wild life critters from Sparks’ Ark, a cake walk and beautiful fiddle music by the Youth Fiddlers featuring Greg Boardman. Also attending the festival will be a few team members of the Lewiston MAINEiacs, the Masons Child ID program, the Heart Gallery, Discovery Toys and Percy’s Burrow. Tickets can be purchased at Hannafords Lewiston and Auburn, and at Advocates for Children, Lewiston. For more info, call 783-3990.
